DS Smith Packaging has completed its integration of the former Danisco sheet plants it acquired last year. A structure has been implemented under Paddy Kitson as managing director of the sheet plant group. It will comprise 14 sheet plants, strategically placed throughout the UK to provide bespoke corrugated packaging and quick, flexible service to both local and national customers.
There will be close interaction with the group's sheet feeder plants, Abbey Corrugated, in Blunham, and Abbey Board, in Kettering, and the DS Smith integrated plants across the country.
Abbey has launched a 'new deal' offering customers a range of specialist boards plus a full technical service back-up. It has also introduced FineArtFlute board, as an alternative to solid board for screen and display applications.
