Sheet-fed success through Value Added Printing

19 July 2005

Over 800 printers from around the world attended MAN Roland's latest Technology Forum, in Offenbach recently. The event comprised a symposium and live demonstrations dedicated to 'Value Added Printing' – "the formula for success for sheet-fed offset in the years to come".

Presentations explained VAP and its economic benefits. The practical demonstrations featured presses equipped with a wide variety of special equipment capable of producing highly enhanced print jobs.

Highlights included the new InlineSheeter for economical production from paper reels and the fast change-over back to sheet printing mode, and the InlineFoiler Prindor that applies gold and silver foil to the sheets at high speed. Embossing with the InlineEmbosser was another major attraction – the embossing dies are mounted in a coating module.
