Italian manufacturer B.Matic has appointed Advanced Dynamics as sole UK distributor for its Protec Dual System range of sheet counting machines. Suitable for printing, paper mills, converting and packaging, they use new ‘highly accurate’ counting technology claimed to cause no damage whatsoever to materials.
The units can be used for counting paper, giftwrap, posters, artists' materials, cartonboard, currency and credit cards, and can handle sizes from A6 - A1 up to 800g/m2 thick at speeds of around a 1,000 sheets/ min ‘with imperceptible corner deformation’.
Unlike other sheet counters, Protec's patented twin-vacuum technology sorts the sheets from the top of the pile downwards, which is claimed to ensure 100% accuracy.
The floor standing Protec is the top of the range counter for medium to high volume runs of sheets. The Protec Mini is an economical, tabletop counter, for small printing centres and big offices, while Protec Pack Mover's ability to count and separate sheets directly from the pile is ideal for production lines, such as wrapping and packaging.
Advanced Dynamics can also supply the automatic Tab Inserter for subdividing reams.
