US based Southern Graphic Systems International has acquired The Box Room, an artwork and project management services operation in the UK, and the packaging division of Lukkien Foto & Design, a Netherlands based media and advertising services company. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but both companies will operate under the SGS brand and be led by the company's global management team.
Michael L Shannon, senior vice president for global operations at SGS, comments: "The addition of The Box Room and Lukkien's packaging division to our existing European operations will provide a dynamic platform for further pan European expansion. Both companies complement our ‘Design2Print’ approach. They will also allow us to deliver customized and practical solutions - from creative to production - that align with client's business objectives and in-house capabilities, as well as contribute to the company's goal of building a global design supply chain model for consumer products companies."
