At the PACE (Packaging and Converting Executive) Forum in Brussels, Belgium on 12 February, Scott Strong – senior vice president and group managing director digital solutions from branding agency SGK – will present a session on the theme: ‘Brand on a Wire: Walking the Tightrope of Regulatory and Consumer Trust’.
With the need to evaluate technology advances from both a functional and strategic viewpoint, the 2014 PACE Forum will be looking at how brand owners can drive profitability through innovative package developments and improved operational efficiency.
SGK’s Scott Strong will address the elite group of industry specialists and key decision makers from the world’s leading FMCG brand owners attending the Forum, on the power of technology to enable companies today to complete quality and regulatory compliance, with an emphasis on EU1169/2011 Food Information Regulations – Manufacturer Obligations.
Effective December 2014, all food and beverages sold in the EU must adhere to the EU directive concerning the display of product information both in-store and online.
Strong says: “My session, ‘Brand On A Wire: Walking The Tightrope Of Regulatory And Consumer Trust’, will address how companies today are incorporating complete quality and regulatory compliance into their deployment processes – how the world’s most beloved brands are building consumer trust and getting packaging artwork right the first time.”
Scott will detail how Blue, SGK’s robust enterprise-level SaaS (software as a service) platform operates within the “marketing eco-system” to help global FMCG, retail and life sciences clients accelerate brand success and help drive brand performance.
“Brands know that consumer trust is one of their most valuable assets,” Scott adds. “And of course, brands are aware of the importance of complying when governments regulate safety into branded products.
“It can feel like a tightrope. One minor mistake and you’re looking at a long-lasting, even permanent, impact on your brand.”
