Indian manufacturer Mamata, in co-operation with HP Teknik, of Denmark, has developed a servo driven machine to produce flower sleeves and other conical bags. The first installation is already operational in Denmark, the second will be commissioned by the end of this month, and a third has been ordered for another customer in Europe.
The new machine is based on Mamata's Vega 800 bag maker. It can be used to produce flower sleeves/bags, confectionery bags for supermarkets, and conical bags for different applications. It has a twin-track configuration, with a main frame of graded cast iron to minimize vibrations. AC servo motors are provided along the entire film path and for the accessories. This is claimed to ensure repeat length accuracy and to give flexibility for processing films of different thickness and width.
The unwinder is equipped with a servo tension control, edge guide and motorized roll lifting. A variety of tools are available to make different bag types. At the delivery end there are two pin type stackers, each with a hot blocking device.
