Services on show

3 May 2005

The inaugural Packaging Services Expo 2005 (PSE), with an exhibition and supporting conference programme, will connect a wide range of packagers, brand owners and retailers with leading service providers. This 'services only' marketplace takes place on May 10-12, at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, near Chicago. The event is sponsored by the Contract Packaging Association (CPA), Institute of Packaging Professionals, and the International Safe Transit Association.

Over 100 specialists in co-packing and packaging services will be exhibiting, including 3M Global Packaging Services, Praxis Packaging, Quick Pak, Rock-Tenn, SCA Packaging, Smurfit-Stone Per Pak, Verst Pack, and WS Packaging.

Running alongside the exhibition will be a conference addressing the many issues that brand owners, manufacturers, packagers and retailers experience when selecting packaging services partners. It will be organized into four tracks, covering: Design & Marketing; Contract Packaging; Testing, Distribution and Quality Control; and Value Added Packaging.

Show manager Don Browne says: "The contract packaging industry is rapidly emerging and there is a huge demand for a focused marketplace for packaging services providers. We are expecting a great show."
