Due for delivery in the first quarter of 2002, the new machine is an SP100.165 Separator with a working width of 1,600mm and a maximum operating speed of 1,400m/min. It will be capable of rewinding coils up to 1,000mm in diameter.
Designed for foil thicknesses ranging from 2x6-2x50 micron, it will be supplied with a complete automatic handling system to bring in new unwind coils to the machine and remove finished coils. A special feature is a sensitive hydraulic contact pressure control system for the support rolls.
