Dow Corning has introduced a thermal solventless solution for temperature sensitive filmic substrates. The Syl-Off SL 9100 series of products is designed for use on substrates such as mono and biaxially oriented PP, PE and PE coated kraft. They are also suitable for substrates that pose anchorage difficulties, such as unprimed polyester films.
According to Norm Kanar, Americas area market manager: "These products allow manufacturers to get the anchorage they need without using more expensive films or compromising on the product's clarity. They can help improve productivity while keeping costs down. This lets manufacturers make the most of new film coating opportunities, from the 'no-label-look' to fibre-free healthcare applications."
