The PlateRite FX1524 platesetter, a 1,076mm x 1,524mm recorder for the output of flexo and letterpress digital plates, or thermal ablation film, has been developed by Screen to support a wide range of flexo applications including labels, flexible packaging, corrugated, carton and security printing.
A larger version of the PlateRite FX870 platesetter, the new system offers the same “outstanding” imaging quality of Screen's proven thermal laser technology and halftone dot structure, developed specifically for flexo printing.
Imaging at either 2,400 or 2540 dpi (with a 4,000 dpi high resolution option), the PlateRite FX1524 is compatible with plates from TOK (Ohkaflex), DuPont, Flint Group (BASF), Toray, McDermid and Asahi. It also features the easy loading system from the PlateRite FX870.
Screen has also appointed Jet Europe as official distributor for both the PlateRite FX870 and PlateRite FX1524.
