Schawk plans European integration

27 July 2005

Digital imaging graphic services provider Schawk has announced its plans for the full integration of its recent European acquisitions, Winnetts and Seven Worldwide. The moves are designed to create an organization structure, with headquarters in Leeds, UK, capable of driving the company's ambitious growth plans over the next five years.

Managing director, Europe, Nigel Parsons comments: "We are merging the two formerly largest European businesses in our sector into a $100M entity. It is unfortunate at a personal level that there need to be some redundancies, phased over the remainder of the year – roughly 10 per cent of the combined workforce – but we live in a competitive world where our clients expect maximum efficiency. For the company as a whole this represents an enormous opportunity and we're doing everything we can to mitigate the situation for those adversely affected."
