Samuel Jones is back

27 October 2009

UK self-adhesive laminator Samuel Jones is back in business as a private and independent company.

Located at purpose-built facilities formerly owned by Scandstick UK in Sawtry, it returns as ‘a leaner operation, with a dedicated team of specialists and a more focused product range, mostly for label end uses’.

The company says it will concentrate on offering the UK, Irish and Australian markets a speedy, competitively priced supply of hotmelt based laminates that offer high performance across a wide range of applications.

Managing director Staffan Hagberg comments: “We are fully committed to helping our customers keep their business as sustainable and profitable as possible in these uncertain economic conditions. We have great adhesive solutions that deliver top results even in the most challenging situations. There is great emphasis on innovation, and we are looking at further developing the conversion process of our product portfolio without compromising on quality or physical properties.

He adds: “This is a very exciting time for us and we look forward to working, once again, with our growing customer base in the British Isles”.

Next year will be the 200th anniversary of the company, which began life as one of the first manufacturers of gummed stamps.
