As part of its on-going collaboration with German packaging groupThimm, Spanish multi-national SAICA has expanded into Eastern Europe with the joint acquisition of Polish corrugated packaging business Tektura Opakowania Paper (TOP).
Based in Silesia, TOP had a turnover of €17 million in 2010 and employs 170 people. Its paper and board divisions are not part of the acquisition deal.
Jeremiasz Zaleski, general manager of TOP’s Packaging Division, reveals: “Significant additional investment is planned, to increase our capacity and widen our capabilities.”
