Safe handling and storage of sleeves

3 June 2009

The new Revolver sleeve handling and storage system from Simec is said to allow printing sleeves to be easily and safely transferred from the press to cleaning equipment and then to the warehouse, avoiding any possible damage.

Revolver is provided with safety rings that fit into each sleeve end when they are removed from the press and match the cleaning machine mandrels. Besides ensuring smooth extraction of the sleeves, it is said to help keep them clean and protected.

The system is available in three sizes, each suited for different sleeve heights for machines from 800-1,700 width. The different versions can work with a minimum of six anilox sleeves or up to 10 cliché-holders.

The new system is available both for end users (printers and converters) and for wide web flexo press manufacturers, to whom Simec offers customisation with the company’s logo and colours.
