At IPEX Rossini launched a laser engravable seamless sleeve with a compressible layer to provide repeat flexibility. The ThermoPolymer Max/Flex can be engraved by Rossini or the customer by CO2 or YAG laser up to 78lines /cm. “It offers high quality yet is cost effective,” Ellen Brimble told Converting Today.
The structure comprises 2mm thermopolymer/ 2.3-14.8mm compressible layer and 0.7mm GRP. “You don’t have to buy a different carrier depending on the repeat. That can be built up on the compressible layer. It is possible to obtain seven different repeats,” she explained. “In addition, the sleeves can be sent back to Rossini for refurbishment and re-engraving.”
