Roland reels out a new sheeter

13 August 2003

The In-lineSheeter is MAN Roland's new digitally controlled cross-cutter for processing reel materials on sheet-fed offset presses. On the previous RB 70 model, format adjustments had to be made manually with format wheels. The InlineSheeter offers stepless cut-off adjustment ranging from 450-740mm. The desired cut-off is simply entered on the display, reducing change-overs by up to five minutes per job. The new sheeter can also process lightweight papers from 40g/m2.

The reel stand winds reels with widths ranging from 520-1,040 mm, and diameters up to 1,500 mm, and can be loaded from three sides. The cross cutter can handle materials ranging from 40-300g/m2, with cut-off lengths steplessly adjustable from 450-740mm. A decurler is integrated to prevent sheet curling. Options include unloading and web moistening systems, and a Corona charging unit.
