New from Rockwell Solutions is the -RPET range of films based on RPET polyester for sealing and peeling to all tray types.
-RPET is polyester film manufactured to contain up to 35 per cent of post consumer waste recycled PET resin. It is available in a variety of coatings to seal to and peel from CPET, APET, RPET, PLA, foil, PP, sugar cane, coated and uncoated paperboard, PS, and, HDPE. Grades are available for HFFS and VFFS in a variety of seal strengths. The film is available with antifog and can be printed with flexo or gravure.
-RPET can also be supplied with the Ventsys self venting steamer technology for ready meals, enabling the pack to retain a greater degree of colour, taste and texture during the cook.
Initially available in 18 and 23 micron, the new film also has the benefit of being recyclable, with most grades said to conform to the requirements of ‘Bin 1’.
