Rockwell Solutions has launched Rocklid GP PET peelable, dual ovenable lidding for foil containers. The new lid is said to allow the end user to keep the lidding film on the foil tray during cooking in a conventional oven. It acts as a slow release steamer film and self vents in the oven eliminating the need to pierce the film before cooking. The company says the Rocklid GP lidding is 100 per cent PET, completely recyclable, and has twice the yield of a laminate.
