A new strategic alignment of Rock-Tenn's folding carton division includes a new leadership team and is designed to take advantage of the opportunities arising from the recent acquisition of Gulf States' paperboard and packaging businesses.
Rock-Tenn's 29 folding carton plants will be aligned in geographic regions and product groupings led by manufacturing and sales teams reporting to Mike Kiepura, who has become executive vice president - Folding Carton Division. Reporting to him will be Gary Adreon, senior vp - North Central Region; Pierre Beaudoin, senior vp - health and beauty; Raymond Beaulieu, senior vp - Northeast Region; Charles Obermeyer, senior vp - Southeast Region; Patrick Smithey, senior vp - South Central Region; Bob West, senior vp - customer support/GSD Packaging joint venture; Scott Swan, senior vp sales; Mike Sheffield, senior vp integration; and Tom West, vp business development. Each geographic region and product group will also have a vice president of sales reporting to the respective regional or product group manager.
The realignment's strategic focus is "to establish closer co-operation among the individual plant operations and the division's sales force, better co-ordination of plant-to-plant capabilities, intensified focus on operational performance excellence and more effective leveraging of the company's recycled and SBS paperboard mill operations".
Rock-Tenn is one of North America's leading manufacturers of packaging products, merchandizing displays and bleached and recycled paperboard.
