Alpha Converting reports growing demand for its Alphamatic range of rewind machines. Models recently supplied to the USA include in-line systems that provide non stop rewinding and boxing operations to the customer's existing production facility. The Alphamatic shaftless rewinder provides the customer with a fully automatic roll change and boxing system which incorporates core loading with a tapeless cinch start, automatic web count and cut-off to length, roll closure, unloading and placing of finished rolls into boxes.
Building on the success in the USA, Alpha has also secured further orders for fully automatic Alphamatic off-line machines. Latest order is for a purpose designed system to unwind the parent roll, provide core loading with a tapeless cinch start, web count and cut-off to length, roll closure, unloading and placing of finished rolls into a heat sealed protective sleeve, with automatic label application to the core and protective sleeve. The machine will be installed in the UK.
