In the UK, Valpak has launched its new forum for the recycling industry with a rallying cry from reprocessors, supporting the recently announced DEFRA investigation into the alleged inappropriate issuing of PRNs. Their comments - added to the new forum area of the Valpak website – include: "this cancer of fraudulent PRN generation must be eradicated", and "we simply do not believe that the figures for UK PRN activity in 2002 are credible".
