Record attendance at Labelexpo Americas 2012

25 September 2012

Labelexpo Americas 2012 closed its doors at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, near Chicago, on 13 September with a record attendance of 14,335 label and package printing professionals. This was 12% plus increase on the 2010 edition, and a new record for the show since its debut in 1989.

More than 100 new products were launched at the exhibition, which occupied 185,000ft² (up 8.5% on the previous edition’s size). There were 400 exhibitors, including 94 companies who were participating for the first time. By the time the show closed, the organizer reported that 81.44% of stand space for the 2014 edition had already been booked.

Labelexpo managing director Roger Pellow says: “We would like to thank the TLMI, our exhibitors and show visitors for their unfailing support in helping make Labelexpo Americas 2012 so hugely successful. As we saw at Labelexpo Europe and Asia last year, the market appears to be recovering, with converters and printers investing in new technology and materials.”

Converting Today's report from the show will appear in the October issue.
