Rapida progress at St Neot’s

21 April 2014

St Neot's Packaging has invested in the UK's first KBA Rapida 145 large format offset press, which will add 40% more capacity for production ranging from sandwich boxes and hot drinks cups to fast food kid's meal boxes and packs.

The company's turnover has doubled in the last five years to £34 million. It employs more than 200 people and has two sites in Cambridgeshire, and a sourcing office in Hong Kong.

Finance director Greg Koral says: "We have gone from strength to strength, even during the recession, and the business has remained keen to invest in future growth. The new format press will dramatically improve our operations and allow us to expand the business substantially, providing local employment opportunities."
