Rako invests in UV inkjet

7 October 2013

Rako Etiketten in Witzhave, Germany, has ordered its first UV inkjet label press, a Durst Tau 330.

Supplied through Durst distribution and service partner Chromos, the machine has seven colour stations (CMYK and white, plus orange and violet) for UV inkjet printing. Rako, which claims to be the biggest user of digital offset printing in Europe, will use the press to develop new applications as well as producing typical inkjet applications "very efficiently and economically", according to member of management Jacob Steeger.

Durst says the Tau 330, launched at Drupa in 2012, is "an inkjet system with considerable potential for future development, which has established itself in a short time for applications with high demands in industrial environments".
