Kodak has awarded the first Partner Certification for its Flexcel NX system in the UK to R3, the Newcastle-based packaging pre-media company which recently doubled its capacity.
The Flexcel NX System is said to bring a new level of efficiency, consistency and standards of quality to flexo printing. According to Kodak, companies that achieve certification "demonstrate that they can meet the rigorous criteria as a trusted partner of Kodak at the leading edge of this transformation in the world of packaging".
Trevor Lowes, R3's partner and joint managing director, says: "The Flexcel NX plate allows us to produce designs for flexible packaging not achievable on any standard plate. It enables photographic quality on multiple substrates. It gives our customers an edge in the marketplace."
