9 November 2020

World-class print and marketing services business, Pureprint Group, has announced the installation of the new HP Indigo 100K digital press, the world’s most productive B2 digital solution and one of the latest additions to the HP Indigo fleet.

Established in 1926, Pureprint Group is a family-owned business with over 90 years’ worth of experience in print. Pureprint Group has been using HP print technology since acquiring its first HP Indigo digital presses in 2008.

Amidst plans to future proof the business, Pureprint Group were looking for a press to help meet high volume demand without compromising quality. New market opportunities have seen growth in demand for new product lines which require vibrant colour and a range of substrates. To remain aligned with these fast-moving industry trends, Pureprint Group needed a high-quality press that would help them exceed customer expectations.

Benefits to our customers

As a longstanding partner of HP, the installation of the HP Indigo 100K seemed like a logical next step for the business. With true digital non-stop print capabilities, at 6,000 sheets per hour, combined with the highest HP Indigo image quality, the HP Indigo 100K has supported Pureprint Group’s objective to drive productivity efficiencies and meet customer needs. The combination of the HP Indigo image quality and the non-stop colour calibration has also allowed Pureprint Group to remain competitive and meet the increased demand for personalised products.

Pureprint CEO, Mark Handford, commented: "As long standing partners with HP the installation of their newest press, the HP Indigo 100K was a logical next step for us. The new press allows us to offer quicker speed to market, which our customer base require in the competitive environment they operate. While we see the huge growth in demand for e-commerce personalised products we needed the equipment to fulfil this requirement, with the high quality in colour and materials that the HP Indigos provide."

Supporting us leading on sustainability

Reducing environmental impact is imperative to the business. Back in 2002, Pureprint became the first CarbonNeutral® printing business in the world, developed the highly acclaimed Pureprint® environmental printing system and is also ISO 14001 accredited. All HP Indigo press manufacturing is carbon offset, which is the equivalent to a reduction of 25,500 cars per year, allowing Pureprint Group to maintain its focus on sustainability, whilst fulfilling growing demand quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, the increase in productivity due to the HP Indigo 100K also means that Pureprint Group can reduce waste and subsequently reduce its environmental impact.

“We are absolutely delighted the first HP Indigo 100K press in the UK is installed at Pureprint. The company has always embraced leading-edge technology and I’m delighted they’ve chosen to partner with us again”, said Peter Jolly, UK&I HP Indigo/PWP Country Manager.

The ongoing partnership between HP and Pureprint Group is both innovative and effective. The productivity and efficiency gains from the new 100K technology, combined with the HP Indigo print quality have been paramount, allowing Pureprint Group to exceed stakeholder expectations and remain in line with industry trends and their own sustainability commitments.
