Purchase deals of €10B made at drupa

Announcing a successful drupa 2008, Messe Düsseldorf has said that purchase deals of more than €10B have been made at this years show.

The 14-day show is said to have attracted around 391,000 visitors from 138 countries with international visitors increasing by around 4 per cent compared to drupa 2004.

At drupa 2008, the international visitors accounted for 59 per cent of the total visitors. Particularly contributing to this growth were Asian and Latin American trade visitors with 7 per cent coming from South and Central America and 15 per cent from Asia as compared to 13.6 per cent in 2004.

Commenting on the results for drupa 2008 Messe Düsseldorf CEO Werner Matthias Dornscheidt said: "This means drupa has further developed its global market significance and its international status. Given the difficult economic climate this is a remarkable success."

Meese has announced that the next drupa will be held in Düsseldorf from 3 to 16 May 2012.

AllinPrint China 2008 to be held in Shanghai from 14-17 November 2008,

EmbaxPrint 2009 to be held in Brünn from 19-22 May 2009, and

Pack Print International 2009 to be held in Bangkok from 23-26 September 2009.
