GretagMacbeth has introduced the ProfileMaker 5 Packaging, a new colour management solution for printing of up to 10 freely definable colours, with or without CMYK. Based on the company's multi colour separation plug-in and Generic Output Profiler technologies, it is claimed to yield exceptional results in a fraction of the time previously required.
Users of the ProfileMaker 5 Packaging can automatically regenerate a new profile when one or more spot colours change, without the need to recreate test charts, plates or cylinders. To provide an even higher level of efficiency in the n-color imaging workflow, the new system includes two Photoshop plug-ins that provide one-click separation of images into multi colour channels - as well as easy soft and hard proofing of these images directly in Photoshop.
