Probing PDF potential

26 January 2005

An international conference in Brussels on March 3-4 will examine the impending impact of Certified PDF on the packaging market and launch PA:CT – Packaging:Certified Technology. Certified PDF is expected to become a standard method of working for brand owners, designers, prepress houses and printers involved in packaging. The conference is designed to explain the implications to those operating in these markets.

Speakers at the conference, which is free to attend, will include representatives from food manufacturer Nestlé and German printer August Faller. Both companies are said to have benefited significantly by implementing Certified PDF. Presentations will also be given by software supplier Artwork Systems, which is hosting the event, and by Enfocus, which has pioneered Certified PDF technology.

Other speakers will include prepress expert and journalist Laurel Brunner, Rob Hadders, director at the BV+R Pre-Media group, and prepress consultant David Zwang. The seminar will begin on the afternoon of Thursday, March 3, enabling people to travel that morning, and will conclude on the Friday lunchtime.
