Press boosts flexibility

18 May 2009

Soma Engineering has announced the supply of a second press to Polysack. The 800mm wide Soma Flex Midi II is equipped with eight printing stations and joins the two existing flexo presses, one of which is a Soma Flex Mini model.

With its compact and robust design, the press is said to be able to handle a range of materials and processes. The company states that they have worked hard to bring printers a machine with a production capability that is versatile enough to deliver almost every job eventuality both quickly and profitably.

Jan Bartakovic, Polysack managing director, says: “The press is equipped with the ability to print both sides and maintain precise registration. Our aim is to shift as many jobs as possible to the Soma Flex Midi II because it runs far more cost effectively than our other presses.”
