Stora Enso is spending €137 mn to build a new power plant at its Ostroleka Mill site in Poland. The project is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2010.
The new power plant, which will be able to use multiple fuels, will improve the mill's energy self-sufficiency and energy efficiency, reducing its carbon dioxide emissions. The self-sufficiency will be about 65 per cent in electricity and 100 per cent in steam production.
