Over 50,000 selfadhesive Twinlock sleeves have been sold by Polymount International, the company reports. Sales has hit over 1,000 sleeves per month, “saving the flexo industry millions of Euros worth of double adhesive tape”, it boasts.
Polymount has four locations in Europe and several distributors serving the flexo market. Production is also set up in the USA and Australia.
“We have a mature product now”, reflects managing director Jan Willem Boers. “Adhesion and compressibility are guaranteed for the life of the sleeve. Eight years of experience has shown that Twinlock sleeves can be used for many years without any loss of their special features.”
According to market research 20 per cent of European flexo plates are no longer mounted on tape, he states. “Hundreds of European flexo companies have several or large amounts of Twinlock sleeves in their daily operation. We expect a fast growth from new markets such as North and South America, Australia and Asia.”
Polymount investments for the coming two years will exceed €2M, including a new production facility.
