Emerson & Renwick's Dixon Division is to supply a Dixon 160 Mk111 pilot coater to a customer in St Petersburg, Russia. In addition to research and development, it will be used for production work, applying water and solvent based coatings onto PET and BOPP films.
This machine will be fitted with a number of different coating methods, including direct and reverse gravure, kiss coating and equalizer followed by air knife. It incorporates the latest AC vector drive with fully automatic tension control technology on a PLC based control system. A two-zone drying system using 95kw of electrical heating will be employed.
