Paper setting the standard

19 December 2012

In response to “increasing demand” for fibre-based packaging based on renewable materials, Stora Enso Speciality Papers has launched MediaSet sized, one-side coated paper.

Developed especially for high-speed converting, and available in basis weights of 80, 90 and 100g/m², MediaSet paper is said to be optimised for the production of packaging wrappers in sectors such as confectionery, as well as for the labelling of cans and jars. “The high-white, glossy surface of MediaSet, in conjunction with an outstanding offset printability, supports a high quality and freshness-emphasised product presentation at the point of sale,” the company says.

MediaSet is said to possess high bulk, “excellent” runnability and “very good” glue adhesion, allowing for the highest speeds in printing, converting, packaging and labelling lines, and making it an “economical choice” for packaging production and labelling.

MediaSet is produced at Stora Enso’s Uetersen mill in Germany, from sustainably produced virgin fibres, and is also available with FS- and PEFC certification upon request.
