Pagendarm in joint German and Korean venture

A new company - SAM Pagendarm - has been established in Hamburg, Germany, as a German Korean joint venture, to supply coating machines and extrusion coating machines, and gravure and flexo presses to the flexible packaging market.

SAM, or Sungan Machinery, based in Hwasung City, near Seoul, is a family owned company, founded in 1960 by MC Shin. In 1977 his sons DH Shin and D S Shin took over management of the business. Pagendarm Technologie is owned by Ralph Pagendarm, Peter Belkowitz and Manfred Föhlisch.

SAM Pagendarm will also be the service centre for all SAM machines supplied to Europe and South America.
