Pagendarm has developed a system for optical film coating in the cleanroom. Based on the company’s patented AGS 2500 S pressurized chamber system, the new development is made for in-line coating of BOPET and BOPP materials. The new unit is equipped with two independent coating cassettes and can coat the web from both sides simultaneously. The cassettes can be changed for service and maintenance without cutting the web, says Pagendarm.
Functional layers from 1-10 micron can be applied without any change of the coating rolls, the company states. Coating speeds of 500m/min at a web width of 2,000mm have already been achieved, it is claimed.
Pagendarm is exhibiting at ICE 2007 on stand 3- B05, in hall 3.
