EFI's Colorproof XF proofing system now supports N-color ICC profiles, including those generated by Generic Output Profiler technology from GretagMacbeth's ProfileMaker 5 Packaging.
The GOP generated profiles allow the printer to replace spot colours in an existing profile without generating new test charts to re-profile the press. These new multicolour profiles can now be used with EFI technology to optimize all aspects of packaging production, including display based soft proofing, contract quality inkjet proofing and high resolution output.
