US based packaging show Pack Expo show will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2006.
First held in October, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, the inaugural event featured 136 exhibitors occupying 43,116ft2 of floorspace. Five thousand visitors attended the show. In contrast, next year's Pack Expo International, on October 29–November 2 at Chicago's McCormick Place, will feature more than 1,600 exhibitors and cover over 1.2Mft2 of exhibit space, and over 50,000 attendees are expected, including over 6,000 from abroad.
CPP EXPO, the Converting and Package Printing Expo, will co-locate with Pack Expo International for the first time.
