P2i Ltd has achieved BS EN ISO 9001:2000 accreditation for the design and manufacture of plasma polymerized coatings.
Business development director Dr Ian Robins says: “Attaining this will bring numerous advantages for us, not least in assuring prospective customers that we are delivering a high quality product that has been independently verified.”
The company’s Ion Mask process provides a surface enhancement nanometres thick over the surface of a product by means of an ionised gas. This gives ultra low surface energy values down to one third that of Teflon. The process can be applied to a wide range of products.
