Swiss company Berhalter claims to be the world’s only manufacturer of flatbed punching machines with its own tool-making shop. It can supply both automatic punching machines and the tools for ‘any punching operation’ from the roll for a range of printed and non-printed foil materials.
Berhalter punching systems are already in wide use producing flat and deep-drawn aluminium lids, packaging lids from plastics or composite materials, also paper, in-mould and blow-mould labels. Options include anti-static set-up, a varnish checking system, a marking and counting station, and a material scrap extractor unit.
