On a roll

24 September 2008

Now available from Label Vision Systems, the LVS RIMS Roll Inspection Mapping System is a complement to the company’s LVS 7000 high speed in-line inspection system.

The RIMS takes the label roll from the LVS 7000 and automatically positions the defects, which are ‘flagged’ electronically by the other system, at the inspection table for operator action - acceptance or removal. It is said to move forward and backwards with equal accuracy, and to eliminate manual flagging, inkjet or other methods of flagging defects.

While fast and accurate placement to the inspection table increases workflow productivity, the system tracks actions taken, providing a complete audit trail for 21CFR Part 11 considerations.
