German print and media house ODD has installed a 6-colour, full UV Edale FL-3 label and flexible packaging press with an array of additional options, to produce labels and thermo tickets.
ODD opted for additional features including turn bar, coldfoil station and fan folding delivery, as well as a rail mounted personalisation system inkjet platform to mount the company's existing Domino inkjet heads.
Alexander Hassinger, technical director of the Bad Kreuznach-based company, says "We believe the FL-3 is a smart solution for our requirements. The machine is highly versatile and we can upgrade it with various options if the need arises in the future".
Hassinger continues: "The technology is very high specification but is not over-complicated and the print results are very good. The auto-register option alongside the standard features has already saved us time and money. We save a lot of operator downtime when changing jobs and the makeready time is dramatically reduced compared with our previous machine."
