In the USA, electron beam curable laminating adhesives which are FDA compliant for food packaging applications are now available from Northwest Coatings. The adhesives are said to provide good bonding to a variety of substrates including, PET, BOPP, LDPE, metallized films, aluminum foil, and paper. They are covered for all type of foods up to FDA condition of use C (hot filled or pasteurized above 150degF).
