Nordstjernan invests in Scandstick

Swedish investment company Nordstjernan has reached an agreement in principle with the Fredin family to become a partner in Scandstick AB, parent company of the Scandstick Group. Nordstjernan will initially own 16 per cent of Scandstick, with the opportunity of raising its holding to 100 per cent on a stage-by-stage basis. The partners have agreed not to publicize the purchase price.

Scandstick is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of self adhesive material for the label industry. Founder Sten-Inge Fredin will continue to serve as president and principal owner of the company.

Scandstick, which is headquartered in Helsingborg, Sweden, has annual sales of approximately SEK850M and has shown annual growth of 23 per cent in the past five years. The group has about 200 employees and two production plants, one in Helsingborg, and the other in Cambridge, UK.
