Nordenia Holland to be saved

23 April 2007

In The Netherlands, a group of investors led by Jos van der Vorst, who own the converter Burgers in Apeldoorn, are planning to take over Nordenia Holland Putten in the second quarter of 2007. Originally, Nordenia International intended to close the Putten operation at the end of September; now it will continue as a production site.

Nordenia Holland Putten specializes in flexible packaging for the food industry, and high quality films for converters, and for the tyre and aviation industries. The complete product portfolio will remain at Putten, except for products for the petfood industry, which will be integrated into the Nordenia Group.

Burgers Apeldoorn is a manufacturer of printed wrapping paper and flexible packaging for the confectionery and consumer goods industry.
