Next boosts water-based ink options

12 August 2013

French flexo printer Next Flexible is to install a Comexi Flexo F2 WBP printing system in its Clairembal centre in Soyaux. It gives Next the capability of high speed printing with water-based ink, both on the obverse and reverse, maintaining the impression quality of the company's Flexo F2 press.

As well as being completely environmental-friendly, more sustainable and efficient, the water-based printing system incorporates other Comexi innovations regarding the improvement of ergomomics, the reduction of material waste and the time dedicated to the work changes or to the solvent-free lamination with traditional systems (process that, until now, was impossible to carry out with water-based printed material).

The Flexo F2 acquired this year by Clairembal will be the second press adapted to Comexi's water-based inks, after the one the French company bought in 2009. The "great results" obtained with the first 10- colours' water-based ink printing system inspired it to acquire another with this technology.
