New short run corrugated box making machine

26 March 2008

Next month, Autobox will launch its latest short run corrugated box making machine - the Hipak One.

Incorporating a new stock sheet feeding system, it can automatically cut any blank size from stock sheet, eliminating the need to either order cut to size blanks or to manually cut blanks from stock sheet.

Size changes are said to take less than two minutes, enabling users to minimize their stock holding and still offer an even quicker turn around for short run orders.

Aimed at both box making plants and end users looking to make their own boxes in house, the new machine boasts a number of special features that are said to enable a wide variety of box styles and sizes to be produced easily and quickly.

With simple inputs on the operator touchscreen, the correct sized blank can be cut to width and length, and is then conveyed automatically to the slotting and creasing section. The final box blank is automatically ejected to a stacking station, ready for finishing.

An in-line single colour digital printing option enables simple print to be added to short run orders without the need for flexo stereos.
