New press to push Payne’s portfolio

3 July 2012

Leading supplier of pressure-sensitive tear tape, labels, closures and seals Payne has invested in a new Nilpeter FA-4 label press for its Cardiff, UK, manufacturing facility.

The FA-4 is a fourth press for narrow web UV-flexo combination printing. It is equipped with direct servodrives and said to be ideal for handling an extremely broad range of multi-substrate packaging materials. The press also features a print management centre that allows the setting of process and production parameters, “to ensure exceptional quality”. Low wastage and reduced setup times ensuring optimum performance with minimal environmental impact, it is claimed.

Payne’s Cardiff factory is focused on delivering high quality label products as part of the company’s packaging solutions product offer to customers.

Divisional managing director Tony Edwards says: “Investing in the latest equipment is a key support to our growth strategy as a business. The new FA-4 at Cardiff builds on the capability we already have and ensures we are able to provide our customers with the very best in service quality as we grow.”
