New press from PCMC

29 July 2010

PCMC’s iMpact 2010 symposium for the flexo industry in June was ‘a tremendous success’, with more than 300 visitors from around the world attending the event at the US company’s Green Bay headquarters. The highlight was the unveiling of the ‘technologically advanced’ Fusion flexo press .

The Fusion is billed as ‘the latest result of a company-wide cultural and lean process improvement effort that focuses on waste reduction and enhanced efficiency’. Key features and benefits of the new press include: ‘new standards for environmental friendliness and operator simplicity’; running speeds up to 2,000ft/min; and highly efficient automated wash-up and drum washing systems.

Improved sustainability benefits are also promised, with 30% less energy consumption than competitive presses and operating with renewable energy sources, and ‘lowest cost per impression’.
