New press and more jobs

22 April 2011

Printing, packaging and direct mail company Potts Print (UK) has invested £1.3million-plus in its third Roland offset press - and expanded its workforce as a result.

The B1 5-colour press will run alongside the Cramlington-based operation’s existing Roland 705 and 706 machines, increasing capacity and streamlining new and existing work. Three new press operators and a print assistant have been hired.

As well as increased output on the print floor, the new press has had a knock-on effect to all departments in the company. Extra print finishers have been employed, and the sales team has been increased. In total, 20 new employees have joined Potts Print since January 2011, with more new vacancies planned throughout the year.

The company aims to exceed a turnover of £14million this year.
